Promoter
The prize draw is operated and promoted by Digital Moneybox Limited, a limited company registered in England & Wales with the company number 09597755 whose registered office is Suite 1.07 1-2 Hatfields, London SE1 9PG (“Moneybox”, or “we” / “us” / “our”).
How to enter and eligibility
- To be eligible for this prize draw you must:
a. have or open a Moneybox account via the Moneybox app;
b. have or open a Qualifying Account (as defined below) via the Moneybox app before or during the Qualifying Period (as defined below);
c. make a Qualifying Deposit (as defined below) during the Qualifying Period; and
d. satisfy the eligibility requirements as set out in section 6 of the Moneybox Promotional Terms. - A Qualifying Account means:
a. An account for either of the following Moneybox products to which you have made a Qualifying Deposit (as defined below):
i. Moneybox Cash Lifetime ISA; or
ii. Moneybox Stocks & Shares Lifetime ISA.
b. An account will be treated as a Qualifying Account only if the registration process is complete, at which point it will be visible in the ‘Your active accounts’ section through the ‘Accounts’ option in the ‘Settings’ tab in the Moneybox app. The Qualifying Account must not be cancelled during the account cancellation period. - The Qualifying Period means 12:00am on 10th June 2024 to 11:59pm on 3rd July 2024.
- A Qualifying Deposit(s) means a total deposit of £100 or more, which has been successfully deposited and credited into a Qualifying Account during the Qualifying Period in any one, or combination of, the following ways:
a. by Direct Debit (i.e. weekly collections) provided that you have instructed the collection by Direct Debit on or before 11:59am on 3rd July 2024 and the deposit is successfully collected thereafter;
b. by instant bank transfer or variable recurring payment (if such deposit options are available to you) which is successfully deposited on or before 11:59pm 3rd July 2024;
c. by using the ‘move money’ feature in the Moneybox app to move money from a Moneybox Savings Account or Moneybox ISA into a Qualifying Account provided the money is successfully deposited by 11:59pm on 3rd July 2024;
d. a gift link deposit (which for the purposes of this prize draw will be counted towards the Qualifying Deposits of the recipient, not the depositor, of the gift link deposit) so long as the recipient of the gift link successfully makes a deposit by 11:59am 3rd July 2024;
e. a transfer from another ISA or Lifetime ISA provider into a Moneybox Cash Lifetime ISA or Moneybox Stocks & Shares Lifetime ISA provided any such transfer is requested before or during the Qualifying Period and subsequently completes prior to 11:59pm on 4th August 2024. - In respect of Qualifying Deposits, for the avoidance of doubt:
a. it is not necessary to break down deposits of more than £100 into separate deposits; for example, a single deposit of £1,000 will be counted as ten (10) Qualifying Deposits; and
b. smaller sums that cumulatively add up to £100 will be deemed a Qualifying Deposit, such that every multiple of £100 deposited into Qualifying Accounts within the Qualifying Period will be counted as a Qualifying Deposit. - In respect of any withdrawal(s) from any applicable Qualifying Accounts during the Qualifying Period:
a. any withdrawals will be subtracted from the total Qualifying Deposits (apart from a withdrawal from a Moneybox Cash Lifetime ISA or Moneybox Stocks & Shares Lifetime ISA for the purpose of a property purchase, which will not affect your Qualifying Deposits); and
b. partial or full withdrawals may incur a government withdrawal charge of 25% of the withdrawal amount. The portion of the withdrawal which is the government withdrawal charge will not count towards the reduction in the number of entries you earned from your Qualifying Deposits for this prize draw.
For example, if you make a Qualifying Deposit of £2,000 (eligible for twenty (20) Qualifying Deposits) during the Qualifying Period, then withdraw £1,000 (including the government withdrawal charge), £250 of the total £1,000 withdrawal will be the 25% government withdrawal charge and so you will receive £750, and your Qualifying Deposits will therefore be reduced and counted as twelve (12) Qualifying Deposits. - You will not be eligible for the prize draw if:
a. close or delete your Moneybox account via the Moneybox app before 11:59pm on 4th August 2024;
b. cancel your Qualifying Account during the cancellation period;
c. request to transfer the entire balance of your Qualifying Account to another Lifetime ISA provider and such request to transfer is completed or pending at 11:59pm on 4th August 2024; or
d. are an employee, worker or consultant working for Moneybox or connected parties including any family member of such persons. - Any Qualifying Accounts that have maxed out the Lifetime ISA limit of £4,000 for the 24/25 tax year either (i) prior to the Qualifying Period (before 12:00am on 10th June 2024), or (ii) during the Qualifying Period by making Qualifying Deposits, will entitle you to a total of forty (40) entries into the prize draw, provided that you comply with these Offer Terms (as defined below).
- The maximum number of Qualifying Deposits that you are entitled to is forty (40) entries, even if your Qualifying Deposits total more than £4,000.
- Any government bonus added to your savings will not count as a Qualifying Deposit, unless the government bonus is included as part of your transfer from another Lifetime ISA provider.
- Anyone that complies with these Offer Terms (as defined below) will automatically be entered into the prize draw. Please contact our team on support@moneyboxapp.com or via the in-app chat by 4th August 2024 if you would prefer not to participate. There is no fee for entering the prize draw.
Winner - One (1) winner will be randomly selected in accordance with the laws of chance, consistent with the requirements of Promotional Marketing Rule 8.24 of the CAP Code, by a computer process on 7th August 2024 and notified by email by 11:59pm on 8th August 2024 using contact details registered on the winner’s Moneybox account.
- The selected winner must respond to us to confirm they accept or decline the Prize (as defined below) within five (5) business days from the date that we send the selected winner an email notifying them about the prize.
- If a selected winner does not respond to our email within the above timeframe, either to accept or decline the prize, they will lose their right to the Prize. A new winner will be randomly selected by 16th August 2024, and notified within five (5) business days. For the avoidance of doubt, the new selected winner will also need to respond to us to accept or reject the prize within a five (5) business day timeframe, otherwise a new winner will randomly be chosen following the above process.
Prize - There is one (1) prize of £10,000 on offer (“Prize”). The Prize will only be paid to the prize draw winner (as determined by the process set out above). The Prize will be paid directly into the winner’s bank account linked to their Moneybox account. We will endeavour to complete the payment within five (5) business days. .
- The Prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no alternative will be offered. The Prize cannot be claimed by anyone except the selected and named winner of the Prize.
Other - These prize draw terms (the “Offer Terms”) supplement the Moneybox Terms & Conditions and the Moneybox Promotional Terms & Conditions available on the Moneybox website and app. To the extent there is a discrepancy between: (i) these Offer Terms and; (ii) the Moneybox Terms & Conditions and the Moneybox Promotional Terms & Conditions, the Moneybox Terms & Conditions and the Moneybox Promotional Terms & Conditions shall prevail.
- By participating in the prize draw, you are deemed to have accepted these Offer Terms.
- We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any person as a result of participating in the prize draw, technical failure regardless of cause including equipment failure, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind that may delay the prize draw, selection of the winner, or communications for this prize draw nor do we accept any liability for a delay in transfer of your Lifetime ISA from another provider or any government bonus claim.
- Please ensure you have reviewed and understand the ISA and Lifetime ISA eligibility criteria and rules including those relating to withdrawals and penalties. Any tax implications depend on your personal circumstances, and the ISA and Lifetime ISA rules may change.
- Please check with us before you transfer from another ISA or Lifetime ISA provider to ensure we can support your transfer. We are not liable for any delay in transfer of an ISA or Lifetime ISA.
- We do not give tax advice or take account of your individual tax position. You are responsible for understanding your own tax position in relation to any Moneybox product you hold and the Prize.
- Please note we are required to make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation, we will send the surname and county of the prize winners to anyone requesting this information. If you object to any or all of your surname and county being published or made available, please notify us by contacting us on support@moneyboxapp.com, and we will remove you from the draw. Please note, we must provide details of any prize draw entrants to the Advertising Standards Authority, the Financial Conduct Authority, or any other competent authority requiring such details, on request.
- We will process your name, email address, date of birth, bank details, residential address, and other account details necessary, for the purposes of administering the prize draw. Personal data supplied will be treated as set out in our Privacy Notice.
