Moneybox end of tax year timings

The 2025/26 tax year ends on 5th April. To get you ready, here are our timings for final deposits, transfers, move money, and new account openings.

Deposits

12pm on Wednesday 1st April 2026: Final weekly collection (this will be debited from your linked bank account on 8th April 2026 but will still count towards your allowances in the 25/26 tax year).
11.59pm on Sunday 5th April 2026: Cutoff for easy bank transfers and manual bank transfers.

Transfers

ISA to a LISA: 5pm on Friday 27th February 2026 – Cutoff for transferring an ISA held elsewhere into a Moneybox Lifetime ISA.
ISA to ISA or LISA to LISA: Sunday 5th April 2026: you can transfer these right up until the end of the 2025/26 tax year, however, please ensure enough time for our team to acknowledge and initiate the transfer on this day within business hours.

5pm on Wednesday 1st April 2026: Cutoff for moving money between your Moneybox accounts.

10pm*, Sunday 5th April: Lifetime ISA, Cash ISA, Stocks & Shares ISA, and Junior ISA product opening paused for new Moneybox customers.
11pm on Sunday 5th April: Lifetime ISA, Cash ISA, Stocks & Shares ISA, and Junior ISA product opening paused for current Moneybox customers.
Monday 6th April: New product opening resumes for the 2025/26 tax year for Lifetime ISA, Cash ISA, Stocks & Shares ISA, and Junior ISA – and the 2026/27 tax year begins.

A 25% government penalty applies if you withdraw money from a Lifetime ISA for any reason other than buying your first home (up to £450,000) or for retirement, and you may get back less than you paid into your Lifetime ISA.

Payments you make into your pension won’t be accessible until the minimum pension age (currently 55, increasing to age 57 from 2028). Tax treatment depends on individual circumstances and may be subject to change in the future.
