How can I pay into an ISA, LISA, JISA or Pension before the end of the tax year?

The end of the 25/26 tax year is fast approaching – here’s a summary of our key payment dates:

Final weekly collection 📆

Our last weekly collection of the tax year will take place at midday on Wednesday 1st April.

At this point, we’ll collect the amount shown in your upcoming collection in the Home tab of the Moneybox app. Then, we’ll debit the payment from your linked bank account the following week, likely on Wednesday 8th April, which is a little later than usual due to the bank holiday weekend. Although the money will be debited in the new tax year, these contributions will still count towards your allowances for the 25/26 tax year.

Any money added to your upcoming collection in the Home tab after midday on 1st April will be collected as part of our first weekly collection for the 26/27 tax year, on Wednesday 8th April.

Please note that in order to have money collected in our weekly collections, you’ll need to have a Direct Debit set up with a UK current account.

Easy bank transfers 💰

You can make an easy bank transfer of £100 or more into an ISA, LISA, JISA, or Pension in the app in Home > Add money. Or, if your remaining allowance for the tax year is less than £100, you can add any amount to max out your product.

Please note, not all banks are supported for easy bank transfers, and we’ll need to receive the payment from your bank by 23.59pm on 5th April for it to count towards the 25/26 tax year. Your bank may have additional security steps to process certain payments, so please don’t leave your deposits too late!

Manual bank transfers 💰

If you hold an ISA or LISA, you can send payments of £100 or more directly from your linked bank account using manual bank transfers. The payment details for your product can be found in the app in Wealth > ISA/LISA > More > Manual bank transfer.

If your remaining allowance for the tax year is less than £100, you can add any amount to max out your product. For your deposit to count towards the 25/26 tax year, your payment must be received by 23:59pm on the 5th of April.

Please note that manual bank transfers usually arrive in your account within a few minutes, but depending on your bank can take up to 24 hours. Your bank may have additional steps to process certain payments, so please don’t leave your deposits too late!

Moving money between Moneybox accounts 💵

You can move money between some Moneybox products via the Moneybox app in Settings > Move money between accounts up until 5pm on Wednesday 1st April. After this point, move money will be unavailable until the new tax year begins on 6th April.

Transferring an existing ISA 📅

The last chance to request an ISA > LISA transfer in from another provider in the 2025/26 tax year was 5pm on Friday 27th February. Further transfer requests are now unavailable until the new tax year begins on 6th April.

Sending & receiving gifts 🎁

If you have a Cash LISA and/or a Junior ISA, you can share a gift link with family and friends in the Settings tab of the app which they can use to send money to your product. You can share your link and receive gifts up until 3pm on 5th April – to count towards the 25/26 tax year, we’ll just need to receive the payment by 11:59pm on the 5th.
