How can I pay in?
There are a few ways you can pay into your Moneybox account!
Easy bank transfers
For most of our accounts you can add payments of £100 or over in minutes using easy bank transfers. To add money via an easy bank transfer, head to Wealth > Select account > Add money in the app.
Please note that, if you’re looking to deposit into an ISA, Lifetime ISA, Junior ISA or Pension via easy bank transfer before the end of the 2025/26 tax year, we’ll need to receive the payment from your bank by 11:59pm on 5th April.
Easy bank transfers are not supported by all banks – please make sure to check whether your bank supports this feature prior to the deadline. We are aware some banks may have additional security steps to process larger payments, so don’t leave your deposits too late!
Manual bank transfers
If you hold an ISA, LISA, Simple Saver, Reward Savings Account, Notice Accounts, 1 Year Fixed Rate (during the funding window only), or GIA, you can also send payments of £100 or more directly from your linked bank account using manual bank transfers, just head to Wealth > Select account > More > Manual bank transfers to find the payment details for your product, then send money via your banking app using these details.
You can find out more about how easy and manual bank transfers work here.
If you’re looking to make a manual bank transfer into an ISA or LISA before the 2025/26 tax year ends, please note for this to count towards the current tax year, your payment must be received by 23:59pm on the 5th of April.
Recurring deposits & the weekly collection cycle
Payments can be made into all our accounts (excluding the 1 Year Fixed Rate) through our weekly collection cycle, which operates via Direct Debit. Any funds you add to your upcoming collection total in the home tab of the app are collected on the next available Wednesday, at around midday, and the funds are then debited from your linked bank account early the following week. The payment typically leaves your bank account on Monday and is added to your Moneybox account by the end of the same day.
You can add funds to your upcoming collection by any of the following methods:
One-off deposit: you can add a one-off deposit which won’t recur using the ‘edit’ button in the home screen and entering an amount.
Weekly deposit: this is a recurring weekly payment for a set amount, which can be set up/changed any time in Settings > Weekly deposit.
Payday boost: a monthly subscription which is automatically added to your weekly savings total on your preferred day. You can set up a payday boost in Settings > Payday Boost.
Round ups: connect a bank account for round ups to view your transactions in the Moneybox app and round up the spare change. Round ups can be set up in Settings > Round ups.
Your Direct Debit must be set up with a UK current account – we’re unable to collect funds from savings or business accounts.
ISA/LISA transfers
Finally, if you have an ISA or Lifetime ISA with another provider, you can transfer this to Moneybox by heading to Settings > Transfer in an existing ISA. More information on transfers in can be found here.
