ISA & LISA transfers

Can I request a partial ISA or Lifetime ISA transfer out?

For ISAs (like our Cash ISAs or Stocks and Shares ISA), you can request a partial ISA transfer out. This does not close your Moneybox ISA, meaning you can keep paying in and even transfer back in later if you want to.

For Lifetime ISAs, this depends on which tax year you made your contributions in. We can help you make a partial transfer out of money which was paid into your LISA during previous tax years (contributions made on or before the 5th of April 2025). However, if you’ve paid into your Moneybox LISA in the current tax year (2025/2026) and want to start paying into a LISA with another provider this tax year, then you would only be able to make a full transfer out.

Please note that if you request a full transfer out of your Moneybox ISA or Lifetime ISA to another provider, it’s not currently possible to transfer back to us or reopen the account once that transfer has been processed.

If you’d like to transfer your Moneybox ISA or LISA out to another provider, you’ll need to contact your other ISA provider to get the transfer process started. They should be able to send you their transfer in form and give you the necessary steps you’ll need to follow.

You can find more information on transfers out here.
